Child Care Resources to Help You Support Your Family
Updated: Sep 21, 2020
Your go-to guide for managing the child care challenges of COVID-19.
For essential workers, balancing work and home life has always been challenging. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has added an additional layer of unique challenges for parents and caregivers especially. At connectRN, we believe in supporting healthcare heroes holistically, both in and out of work. So, we compiled this list of resources to help our community find child care support they can depend on during this unpredictable time.
When looking for child care resources to help support your family, start by identifying your local Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agency. These agencies serve as local resources that are able to help you find child care options that work for your family’s situation and needs. CCR&R agencies can also help you find child care financial assistance, including subsidies, vouchers, and scholarship programs, if that is something you need. We’ve included links to help you identify your local CCR&R agency in order to get individualized help.
For general information about child care and how to receive financial assistance, or if you don’t see your state on this list, check out childcareaware.org. Child Care Aware of America works with over 400 Child Care Resource and Referral agencies nationwide. They provide helpful information and resources for navigating child care.
